Mondo Cosseri - Grand apartment in center of Athens


This large apartment is in the center of Athens. Currently under renovation, my apartment can sleep up to 8 guests. 

It is ideal for entertaining large groups of people, group learning, round table discussions, yoga sessions and similar private events. This is due to its huge reception area (78 m2), relative privacy and minimalist retro styling, not to mention ease of access. A manned parking garage, only 4 minutes walk away (270m2), can accomodate many visiting cars, with reasonable rates. However, bachelor parties, loud music and noisy dancing are not allowed. 

It is ideal to explore Athens by public transportation as it is a 2 minute walk (190m) from the Metro station Agios Eleftherios.

It is also ideal for a car driver. I own one parking space into that same manned parking garage and have it dedicated to the free use of my guests in this apartment. From that garage there is quick access to the national highway E75 via 9 minutes drive (1.7 km)

The apartment occupies the entire 2nd floor of a residential building and it stands 3.5 stories high above street level. It has 3 secure all-steel entrance doors with security locks. Access via lift/elevator and stairs

The apartment covers 150m2 in addition to its full length balconies running along the front and the back of the building. The front balcony overlooks two quiet streets and the back balcony overlooks backyards and a huge garden with tall trees.

The huge reception area, including the open plan kitchen, covers 78 m2. The kitchen is decked out with off-white marble and includes a marble sink and a large display area of old kitchen utensils. The apartment has high ceilings. Solid wood parquet flooring covers most spaces.

The three bedrooms cover 42m2 and sleep 2 each. Two additional single beds, which double as sofas during the day, are in a section of the reception area which can be separated completely from the reception area via sliding doors, while maintaining access to most of the apartment via a separate door.

The apartment is only a 2 minute walk (190m) from the metro station "Agios Eleftherios" and a 6 minute walk (400m) from  corresponding bus and trolley stops on Patission (28is Oktovriou).  The Metro connects with the Athens International Airport (Elefterios Venizelos) either directly or via the suburban train

The location is ideal for car drivers. Despite the close proximity to the core of the centre of Athens, such as Omonia Square,  the apartment is only 6 minutes drive away (1.5 km) from the national highway "1" or "E75" which connects efficiently with Athens International Airport (Elefterios Venizelos) (pickup/drop off of hired cars), the port of Piraeus (for ferry connection to the islands), the coastal strip around Athens, Patras (ferries to Italy) and Thessaloniki (gateway to the Balkans)
